Mia received her undergraduate degree in social work at Northeastern Illinois University before completing her Master of Social Work with a specialization in clinical mental health at UIC. Prior to working at Youth Services, Mia provided services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and has over a decade worth of experience working with neurodivergent populations.
At Youth Services, Mia works as the Clinical Billing and Administrative Assistant where she assists with clinical intakes, billing, project management, data gathering, and system implementation. She is responsible for our Easing program, in which she assists families in our community that need financial assistance. She also helps families connect with outside resources when they need services outside the scope of what we can provide.
Mia utilizes her clinical skills through individual therapy and serves as a clinician in both of our middle school therapy groups. She finds immense joy working with individuals with various needs, always meeting them where they are and utilizing humor, empathy, encouragement, and patience to help clients reach their goals.
