Caring Connections
Play – Learn – Connect
Youth Services is proud to introduce Caring Connections, a new program designed to support parents and children ages 3–5 years in building strong foundations for growth, learning, and connection.
Each weekly session includes three core components:
- Parent Group: Caregivers participate in guided discussions on child development, parenting strategies, and peer support.
- Child Group: Children engage in structured activities that promote early learning, socialization, and play-based exploration.
- Joint Parent-Child Playtime: Families come together for interactive activities that strengthen parent-child bonds through shared play experiences.

Social Skills Group
The social skills program at Youth Services offers groups to youth in grades K-12 who are working on improving their social skills and building their confidence in social settings.
The program focuses on six social skills:
- Conversational Skills
- Emotional Awareness
- Frustration Tolerance
- Nonverbal Communication
- Perspective Taking/Flexible Thinking
- Self-Regulation/Impulse Control
Each group provides both psycho-education and experiential programming. Our activity-based approach allows our clients to practice using the skills of the program in “real-life” scenarios. The program is designed to meet clients’ developmental needs in order to support their success in building new skills.

Process Group
Youth Services’ process groups are designed to provide a safe and supportive space for participants to navigate the everyday challenges and stressors in their lives. Group leaders facilitate discussions on topics such as self-confidence, relationships, academic stress, decision-making, body image, mood management, self-care, media messages, and more. These groups offer participants opportunities for creative self-exploration and provide insight into new strategies for coping with stress. We offer three process groups; one for girls in grades 6-8, one for girls in grades 9-12, and one for ages 18-24 years old.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group is designed for 13 to 18 year-olds who struggle with intense, fluctuating moods, unhealthy coping mechanisms, and difficulties in their familial, peer, and romantic relationships. The goal of the group is to help participants increase self-awareness, manage emotions more effectively, tolerate distressing situations, and improve interpersonal skills.
