Activity based therapy for children in Glenview Northbrook
Activity based therapy for children in Glenview Northbrook is one of the many services offer at Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook. Our facility features approximately 25,000 square feet focused on the agency’s activity-based treatment model featuring a gymnasium, kitchen, art rooms, play therapy rooms, music room, game room, sensory room, media room, outdoor garden spaces, board game and Lego spaces, plus traditional individual talk therapy offices.
Our activity-based treatment model uses spaces, tools, and activities to enhance therapeutic work and relationships with clients. This allows therapists to meet clients where they are and through mediums that work for them. Youth Services’ goal is to remain accessible and desirable for families of all means, backgrounds, and interests. As a beacon of hope and support in our community, the Youth Services facility is designed to feel like a comforting home and place that children and teens feel heard, seen, and will look forward to returning to get the help they need.
This beautiful space is a testament to our community. Youth Services moved into its current home in Glenview in 2009 on land provided by the Village of Glenview and a subsequent fundraising campaign. Due to critical demands on services and space, the building was reimagined with a reconfiguration of space and an addition completed in 2025.
While engaging in Youth Services programming or events, or using our space, we ask that everyone (clients, families, staff, volunteers, event attendees, and board members) adhere to our community guidelines, which are aligned with our values of trust, safety, connection, and compassion.
